Usually, the Slider is fished with periodic series of fast and energetic rod twitches while retrieving quickly. But of course, depending on the conditions, different styles can be effective. For example, when temperatures are low - around 2-5 degrees, the best result is achieved by slowing down the pace and waiting about 3 seconds between twitches, which should be smooth. When temperatures are higher, the retrieval speed should be increased. The Slider is surprisingly good for shallower trolling - leave it 10-30 meters behind the boat and twitch it as you would with casting - every 2-3 seconds.
